Our aim is to provide our patients with the best quality care available.
Our charter is a statement of what you can expect from the practice and what we feel we can expect from you in return.
Your rights as our patient
- You will be treated in a polite and respectful manner by the doctors, nurses and other members of the practice team.
- The surgery will be clean and comfortable as far as facilities permit.
- When necessary, your doctor will refer you to a consultant appropriate to your condition.
- You always have the right to confidentiality.
- The doctors endeavour to see their patients on time, but, at least, within a minimum of thirty minutes of their appointment time. However, should there be an additional delay, you will be advised of the reason by the receptionists.
- The practice is open 8am–6.30pm. During this time, you can visit, call or go online via the practice website.
- You can expect to be given an urgent appointment with a doctor – not necessarily your own registered GP – within one working day.
What we ask of you
- Be punctual for appointments and remember an appointment is for one problem and one patient only.
- Should you need to cancel your appointment, to give as much notice as possible, BUT ALWAYS TO LET THE PRACTICE KNOW, so that we can fit in and help other patients.
- Be patient if the doctor is running late.
- Treat doctors and practice staff with courtesy.
- To request help or advice, on non-urgent matters, to be made during surgery hours.
- Not to request a home visit if you are fit to travel to the surgery. GP discretion only.
- You should work with the practice to keep yourself as healthy as possible by following advice from the doctors and staff.
Comments
Any comments about the service provided should be in writing. These will be forwarded to the practice manager.
Zero Tolerance
If a patient is violent or abusive to the practice staff or any other person on the premises, they will be removed from the practice list.
